Sunscreen should be applied generously on the body parts to be exposed to sun and reapplied every two hours, especially after swimming or sweating. If you work indoors and sit away from windows, you may not need a repeated application.
Sunscreen prevents sunburn by blocking UVB light. Theoretically, that means sunscreen use lowers vitamin D levels.
